DESCRIPTION: Co owned with our friends at Hilltop Alpacas, Magnus is the most prominent male representative of a very famous and powerful line in the CCNF foundation herd. While many genetic lines are tracked paternally, there are few maternal lines in the North American domestic herd more potent than that of PPPeruvian Jesusa and her descendants. Though we lost Magnus' famous granddam in late 2009 to old age, her legacy lives on.
From Magnus himself and his sisters, CCNF Johanna (now a three time mother) and CCNF Lilah (2011 Judges' Choice Female at the Northeast Alpaca Expo), to their Goddess mother, CCNF Magdalena, and her full brother Golden Sovereign. There is of course the, um, small matter of the Snowmass Quechua line, atop which Jesusa also famously sits. Needless to say young Magnus comes by his excellence very honestly. All of that of course ignores the the fact that he is also the son of legendary Herdsire, Snowmass Royal Rose (himself a Hemingway son), and the maternal grandson of CCNF keystone, Snowmass Legacy Gold. Not a bad little genetic cocktail!
